London Luton Airport is committed to delivering sustainable growth and becoming a leader in sustainable aviation. With an ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2040, the airport is looking for an analytical and motivated sustainability professional to help track performance, strengthen ESG reporting and turn data into meaningful insights.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative sustainability team, working across a complex operational business to support environmental and social commitments while identifying opportunities to improve performance.
The role is hybrid and will require 2/3 days per week in the Luton office.
The role
The ESG Performance Executive will play a key role in managing ESG data and non-financial information across the airport, ensuring information is accurate, verified and ready for reporting to senior leadership, shareholders and external stakeholders.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will support sustainability reporting, monitor progress against environmental commitments and identify opportunities to improve data management, reporting processes and operational performance.
You will:
- Manage ESG data and non-financial information, ensuring accuracy, consistency and appropriate evidence for internal and external reporting.
- Coordinate ESG data requests and support reporting to shareholders, the Board and other senior stakeholders.
- Support sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, including GRESB, ISO standards and relevant industry frameworks.
- Monitor progress against the airport's sustainability commitments, including its Net Zero 2040 ambition and wider decarbonisation goals.
- Build relationships with internal and external data owners, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve data quality.
- Produce regular sustainability performance reports, using data and analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Support climate change adaptation reporting and strategy, alongside wider sustainability projects.
- Explore opportunities to automate reporting and develop dashboards and performance tools to improve efficiency and insight.
About you
You will be an analytical and highly organised professional with experience in data management, performance reporting or analysis within an operational environment. A background in sustainability or environmental reporting would be advantageous, alongside an interest in using data to drive meaningful business improvements.
You will bring:
- Experience in data management, performance reporting or analytical roles.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, including strong Excel capability and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience managing data subject to audit, verification or formal reporting requirements.
- An understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate outputs to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to work across different teams and engage senior colleagues.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and an interest in improving reporting processes through automation and data-led insights.
